This series was created in 2025 to celebrate the forty-fifth anniversary of The Shining. I’ve long wanted to pay tribute to this film, which I see not only as a masterpiece of horror, but also as one of the most powerful visual journeys into the human mind.
I chose to reinterpret it through digital Pop Art, using neon colors, strong contrasts, and glitch-inspired textures to capture that unsettling, hypnotic energy that the film has always carried.
The first image, The Overlook Hotel, depicts the hotel as a living, breathing entity. In my version, it’s caught in a storm of electric blue light, its windows glowing with warm, eerie red. I wanted the building to seem suspended between dream and nightmare, as if it could swallow those who look at it.
In The Corridor, I imagined the boy riding his tricycle down the endless halls, surrounded by a psychedelic floor that becomes a mental labyrinth. In front of him appears a menacing face — the shadow of madness emerging from the dark. It’s a moment of fear, but also of fascination with the unknown.
With Here’s Madness, I wanted to capture the instant when reason breaks. The distorted, grinning face becomes a pop icon, lit by violent blues and reds, as if insanity itself were a flash of light inside the mind.
In Scream Through the Door, tension explodes. The screaming figure isn’t just a character — she represents human vulnerability in the face of violence. I used sharp beams of light and cutting colors to show that moment when fear becomes pure energy.
Finally, The Shining Legacy brings it all together: the child, the mother, and the father, enveloped in a glowing aura of blue and yellow that turns them into symbols. It’s as if the story has crystallized into myth, something timeless that keeps shining in our collective memory.
With this series, I wanted to merge retro 1980s aesthetics with today’s digital sensibility. For me, The Shining isn’t just a film — it’s a vision, a luminous nightmare that still speaks of loneliness, fear, and control.
Through artificial light and color, I’ve tried to express that feeling of being trapped inside something both beautiful and terrifying — just like the Overlook Hotel.

この作品は単なるホラーの名作ではなく、人間の心の奥深くを視覚的に探る最も強烈な旅のひとつだと、私はずっと感じてきました。
そのエネルギーを再現するために、私はデジタル・ポップアートという手法を選び、ネオンカラーや強いコントラスト、グリッチ的な質感を用いて、不安と魅惑が共存する世界を描きました。
最初の作品 The Overlook Hotel では、ホテルをまるで生きている存在のように描いています。
青い光の嵐の中で赤く輝く窓は、内部に潜む何かを示唆しているようです。夢と悪夢の狭間に漂うその建物は、見る者を飲み込もうとしているかのようです。
The Corridor では、三輪車に乗った少年が果てしない廊下を走る姿を想像しました。幾何学模様の床はサイケデリックで、心の迷宮そのものです。彼の前には狂気の影が立ちはだかり、恐怖と同時に未知への誘惑が生まれます。
Here’s Madness は理性が崩壊する瞬間を描いた作品です。歪んだ笑顔が赤と青の光に照らされ、狂気そのものが輝くアイコンとなります。
Scream Through the Door では、恐怖が爆発します。叫ぶ女性は単なる登場人物ではなく、人間の脆さそのものです。鋭い光と強烈な色彩で、恐怖がエネルギーへと変わる瞬間を表現しました。
最後の The Shining Legacy では、父・母・子の三人を青と黄色の光に包み、彼らを象徴的な存在として描きました。物語が神話となり、時を超えて輝き続けるように感じています。
このシリーズでは、1980年代のレトロな美学と現代のデジタル感覚を融合させました。
私にとって『シャイニング』は単なる映画ではありません。それは孤独、恐怖、そして支配欲を語り続ける「光る悪夢」なのです。
人工の光と色を通じて、美しくも恐ろしい閉じ込められた感覚を表現したかったのです ― まるでオーバールック・ホテルの中にいるように。
Diese Serie entstand im Jahr 2025 zum 45. Jubiläum von The Shining.
Ich wollte schon lange diesem Film huldigen, den ich nicht nur als Meisterwerk des Horrors betrachte, sondern als eine der eindrucksvollsten visuellen Reisen in die menschliche Psyche.
Ich habe ihn in einer digitalen Pop-Art-Form neu interpretiert, mit Neonfarben, starken Kontrasten und Texturen, die an Glitches erinnern, um die hypnotische und beunruhigende Energie des Films einzufangen.
Das erste Bild, The Overlook Hotel, zeigt das Hotel als lebendige, atmende Kreatur. In meiner Version steht es in einem Sturm aus elektrischem Blau, die Fenster glühen in unheimlichem Rot. Ich wollte, dass es zwischen Traum und Albtraum schwebt – ein Ort, der den Betrachter verschlingen könnte.
In The Corridor stelle ich mir den Jungen auf seinem Dreirad in den endlosen Gängen vor. Der Boden, mit seinen psychedelischen Mustern, wird zu einem mentalen Labyrinth. Vor ihm erscheint ein bedrohliches Gesicht – der Schatten des Wahnsinns, der aus der Dunkelheit hervorkommt.
Mit Here’s Madness wollte ich den Moment zeigen, in dem der Verstand bricht. Das verzerrte Lächeln, in grellen Rot- und Blautönen, wird zu einer Pop-Ikone des Wahnsinns.
In Scream Through the Door explodiert die Spannung. Die schreiende Figur ist mehr als ein Charakter – sie verkörpert menschliche Verletzlichkeit angesichts von Gewalt. Mit scharfen Lichtstrahlen und intensiven Farben wollte ich den Augenblick darstellen, in dem Angst zu reiner Energie wird.
Schließlich vereint The Shining Legacy alle Figuren: den Jungen, die Mutter und den Vater, umgeben von einer blauen und gelben Aura, die sie zu Symbolen macht. Es ist, als wäre die Geschichte zu einem Mythos erstarrt – ein ewiges Leuchten im kollektiven Gedächtnis.
Für mich ist The Shining mehr als ein Film. Es ist eine Vision – ein leuchtender Albtraum, der immer noch von Einsamkeit, Angst und Kontrollwahn erzählt.
Mit Licht und Farbe wollte ich dieses Gefühl des Gefangenseins in etwas Wunderschönem und Schrecklichem zugleich ausdrücken – genau wie im Overlook Hotel.

Depuis longtemps, je voulais rendre hommage à ce film, que je considère non seulement comme un chef-d’œuvre de l’horreur, mais aussi comme une exploration visuelle fascinante de l’esprit humain.
J’ai choisi de le réinterpréter à travers la Pop Art numérique, en utilisant des couleurs néon, des contrastes intenses et des textures inspirées du glitch pour évoquer cette énergie troublante et hypnotique propre au film.
Dans The Overlook Hotel, l’hôtel devient un être vivant, presque conscient. Entouré d’une tempête de lumière bleue, il brille d’un rouge inquiétant à travers ses fenêtres. J’ai voulu qu’il flotte entre rêve et cauchemar, comme un piège lumineux.
Dans The Corridor, j’imagine l’enfant sur son tricycle parcourant les couloirs infinis. Le sol psychédélique devient un labyrinthe mental, tandis qu’un visage menaçant surgit de l’ombre. C’est un instant de peur mêlée d’attirance pour l’inconnu.
Avec Here’s Madness, j’ai cherché à saisir l’instant où la raison se brise. Le visage déformé, éclairé de rouges et de bleus violents, devient une icône pop de la folie.
Dans Scream Through the Door, la tension éclate. La femme qui hurle n’est plus un simple personnage : elle incarne la fragilité humaine face à la violence. Les faisceaux lumineux et les couleurs tranchantes traduisent ce moment où la peur se transforme en pure énergie.
Enfin, The Shining Legacy réunit les trois protagonistes dans une lumière bleue et dorée. Leur image devient mythique, comme une légende qui continue de briller à travers le temps.
Pour moi, Shining n’est pas seulement un film : c’est une vision, un cauchemar lumineux qui parle encore de solitude, de peur et de pouvoir.
Avec cette série, j’ai voulu traduire ce sentiment d’être enfermé dans quelque chose de beau et de terrifiant à la fois — comme à l’intérieur de l’Overlook Hotel.

Siempre quise rendir homenaje a esta película, que considero no solo una obra maestra del terror, sino también una de las exploraciones visuales más intensas de la mente humana.
Elegí reinterpretarla a través del arte pop digital, utilizando colores neón, contrastes fuertes y texturas que recuerdan al glitch, para capturar esa energía inquietante y fascinante que siempre tuvo la película.
En The Overlook Hotel, el edificio cobra vida propia. En mi versión, está envuelto en una tormenta de luz azul eléctrica, con ventanas que brillan en un rojo cálido y perturbador. Quería que pareciera suspendido entre el sueño y la pesadilla.
En The Corridor, imaginé al niño recorriendo los pasillos infinitos con su triciclo. El suelo psicodélico se convierte en un laberinto mental, mientras una figura amenazante aparece frente a él: la sombra de la locura emergiendo de la oscuridad.
Con Here’s Madness, quise capturar el momento exacto en que la razón se rompe. El rostro distorsionado, iluminado por luces rojas y azules, se convierte en un icono pop de la demencia.
En Scream Through the Door, la tensión estalla. La mujer que grita no es solo un personaje: es la representación de la fragilidad humana ante la violencia. Utilicé haces de luz y colores intensos para mostrar ese instante en el que el miedo se transforma en pura energía.
Finalmente, The Shining Legacy reúne a los tres personajes: el niño, la madre y el padre, envueltos en una luz azul y amarilla que los convierte en símbolos. Es como si la historia se hubiera convertido en mito, brillando eternamente en la memoria colectiva.
Para mí, El Resplandor no es solo una película: es una visión, una pesadilla luminosa que sigue hablando de la soledad, el miedo y el deseo de control.
A través de la luz artificial y el color, intenté expresar esa sensación de estar atrapado en algo bello y aterrador a la vez — como dentro del Hotel Overlook.
