The Queen Froggy was born from my desire to give new life to materials destined for the landfill. I wanted to create a figure that is both ironic and regal: a frog in an almost human posture, painted in vivid colors and crowned with a bright pink sphere decorated with colorful plastic gems. The golden chains and metallic buttons symbolically represent luxury, wealth, and appearance — elements that often define power in our consumerist world.
I am amused and inspired by the idea that a simple frog — made from reclaimed objects — can become a “queen,” capable of making people smile but also reflect. In this contrast between the ordinary and the precious, between waste and art, lies my vision of Trash Art: a creative language that transforms what has been discarded into something new, beautiful, and meaningful.
With The Queen Froggy, I want to remind everyone that everything can be reborn — that matter should not be wasted but reinterpreted.
I strongly believe that art can and must play an active role in protecting the environment. For me, recycling is not only a practical act, but also an ethical and poetic one.
As I always say:
“We must always recycle, never throw away. We cannot live in a world we are polluting. It will lead us to death.”
This work is my small contribution to a larger reflection: we can change the way we look at things and discover that even what seems useless can tell a story, move us, and bring new beauty to life.
『The Queen Froggy（ザ・クイーン・フロッギー）』は、廃棄される運命にあった素材に新しい命を吹き込みたいという私の思いから生まれました。私は、風刺的でありながらも気品を備えた存在を作りたいと思いました。鮮やかな色で彩られたカエルが、まるで人間のような姿勢で立ち、カラフルなプラスチックの宝石で飾られた輝くピンクの球体を王冠のように頭にのせています。金色のチェーンと金属製のボタンは、象徴的に贅沢、富、そして外見を表しており、それらは私たちの消費社会において権力を定義する要素でもあります。
再利用された素材から作られた単なるカエルが「女王」へと変わるという発想は、私を楽しませ、同時に考えさせます。この「ありふれたもの」と「貴重なもの」、「廃棄物」と「芸術」との対比の中に、私の**トラッシュ・アート（Trash Art）**の理念があります。つまり、捨てられたものを新しく、美しく、意味のあるものへと変える創造の言語です。
『The Queen Froggy』を通して私は、「すべてのものは再生できる」ということを伝えたいのです。物質は浪費されるべきではなく、再解釈されるべきだと信じています。
私は、芸術が環境保護において積極的な役割を果たすべきだと強く信じています。私にとってリサイクルとは、単なる実用的な行為ではなく、倫理的で詩的な行為でもあるのです。
いつもこう言っています：
「私たちは常にリサイクルし、決して捨ててはいけない。自ら汚している世界では生きられない。それは私たちを死へと導く。」
この作品は、より大きな思索への小さな貢献です。私たちはものの見方を変えることができるし、無価値に見えるものでも物語を語り、感情を呼び起こし、新たな美を生み出すことができるのです。
