Geisha è una raccolta che nasce dal mio desiderio di far dialogare Oriente e arte contemporanea. In queste opere la figura della geisha diventa un simbolo senza tempo: eleganza, mistero, forza interiore e bellezza si fondono con colori esplosivi, texture urbane e contaminazioni pop, street art e digital art.

Non ho voluto rappresentare semplicemente delle geishe tradizionali. Ho cercato di reinventarle, trasformandole in presenze sospese tra passato e futuro, tra cultura giapponese e immaginario contemporaneo. Ogni tavola è un viaggio cromatico diverso, dove il volto, il kimono e l’ambiente diventano strumenti per raccontare emozioni, suggestioni e stati d’animo.

Attraverso questa serie esploro il contrasto tra armonia e caos, delicatezza e potenza visiva, tradizione e innovazione. Le geishe diventano così protagoniste di un universo personale, fatto di colori intensi, segni grafici e atmosfere che oscillano tra sogno, memoria e fantasia.

This collection was born from my desire to create a dialogue between the East and contemporary art. In these works, the figure of the geisha becomes a timeless symbol where elegance, mystery, inner strength, and beauty merge with vibrant colors, urban textures, and influences drawn from pop art, street art, and digital art.

My intention was not simply to portray traditional geishas. Instead, I sought to reinvent them, transforming them into presences suspended between past and future, between Japanese culture and the contemporary imagination. Each piece is a distinct chromatic journey in which the face, the kimono, and the surrounding environment become instruments for expressing emotions, suggestions, and states of mind.

Through this series, I explore the contrast between harmony and chaos, delicacy and visual power, tradition and innovation. The geishas thus become the protagonists of a personal universe shaped by intense colors, graphic gestures, and atmospheres that drift between dream, memory, and fantasy.

このシリーズは、東洋の美意識と現代アートを対話させたいという私の想いから生まれました。作品の中で芸者は、優雅さ、神秘性、内なる強さ、そして美を宿した普遍的な存在として描かれています。それらは鮮烈な色彩、都市的なテクスチャー、ポップアート、ストリートアート、そしてデジタルアートの要素と融合しています。

私は伝統的な芸者をそのまま描こうとしたのではありません。むしろ彼女たちを再解釈し、日本文化と現代的な想像力のあいだ、過去と未来のあいだに漂う存在へと変容させました。それぞれの作品は独自の色彩の旅であり、顔立ちや着物、そして背景の風景が、感情や心象、そして内面の世界を語るための表現となっています。

このシリーズを通して私は、調和と混沌、繊細さと力強さ、伝統と革新という相反する要素の共存を探求しています。こうして芸者たちは、鮮やかな色彩と大胆な造形によって構築された、夢と記憶、そして幻想が交差する私自身の世界の主人公となるのです。
